Bar
Sankofa African Bar & Restaurant is located in the historic neighborhood of Pelourinho in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. With a identity unique and reverberating with African chic, you know you are in a place different from the rest. Muted lighting illuminate the original walls of the historic building. The bar is divided into four spaces: the bar and dance floor on the first floor where people let loose to great music and the lounge and varanda on the second floor where people mingle, talk, watch events on our audio visual system and eat our excellent barbeque.
Drinks
In the bar, our clients will encounter a great variety of drinks, from the ubiquitious caipirinha to the more colorful and sophisticated like Yankari, made with tamarind, strawberry, lime and vodka, and Sangria made with wine and tropical fruits.
Restaurant
Currently our restaurant offers only barbeque and is only open nights. However, we offer our clients a coupon for Panela da Bahia, our partner, located next door. The coupon is for a free drink, and a soup or salad. Panela da Bahia has wonderful Bahian food, and is known to have one of the best moquecas in Salvador.
